The catacombs was by far one of my favorite things we did in Roma. We learned about how the Christians believed that the body should be buried after death so it would be ready for the Resurection of Christ because they believed that it would be soon. It was just a really cool thing. We couldn't take pictures down there otherwise I would have posted some. It was also hot down here, which really surprised me.
I'm sad you couldn't take pics down there--though I guess it's disrespectful lol.
